Stay Safe, Stay Active and Healthy, Save Lives

HELLO FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS and PARTNERS,
Happy Valley is a community of people that supports one another. We hear every day how so many of you are lending a hand to your neighbors and being a source of support for those in need. Soon after this pandemic broke, the City Council began reaching out to City staff and several community members to create Business and Recreation Task Force groups. These groups are working at the local level, coordinating together and trying to get as much information as they can out to you so we can support each other and stay connected.
We’ve compiled a list of many recreational activities you can do from home or in the City that will help you stay active, both physically and educationally. The Recreation Task Force has found numerous local hikes you can try, free online fitness classes, and some fascinating virtual tours of museums and landmarks from around the world. We hope some of these ideas help you and your family keep your minds and bodies active and engaged. One of the things we love most in Happy Valley is the great trail system we have developed. Our park and trails all remain open for your enjoyment. Please remember to maintain social distance even when you are outside.
The city’s website https://www.happyvalleyor.gov/ is a great resource. It is the best place to stay abreast of city updates and how you can stay safe, healthy and involved in the community. A list of city businesses that remain open or partially open and need our continued support is now on the city website. The recovery from this event will require all of us to continue to do our part. We all need to continue to support local businesses who need our help now more than ever. Continue to frequent local restaurants by ordering food for pick up or delivery. You can also purchase gift cards for future use.
Please share this information with everyone in your organization. Let us know if you need anything as we are here for you. The connection is so important right now.
Take care and be well,
