The Sunnyside chess team that won the Clackamas County tournament in February, competed at the state tournament this past Friday.
These students won 3 of their 5 matches to tie for 4th place at state!

Ethan Parker and Cheng Zhen competed on Saturday. Both played well. Ethan Parker went undefeated to earn Sunnyside’s first state championship in the fifth grade division.
